Glory to God!

A new mission is born! The East Kootney Orthodox Fellowship in Cranbrook, BC was blessed as a Mission Station a month ago and yesterday they became St. Aidan’s Orthodox Mission. May it prosper and be a beacon of light to all.

Troparion
O holy Bishop Aidan, Apostle of the North and light of the Celtic Church,
glorious in humility, noble in poverty, zealous monk and loving missionary, Intercede for us sinners that Christ our God may have mercy on our souls.

How exciting... Glory to God!

I attended St. Aidan of Lindisfarne Orthodox Church in Manchester, and he was a great saint of the British Isles!

What a blessing to have his prayers... this is so good for the Church in BC.

From their website I see that they meet at Christ Church Anglican, which coincidentally was the name of the church our mission met at in Kingston. (And we had relics of St. Cuthbert of Lindisfarne.)

Thank you, Rene family, for making those trips out to Cranbrook! I also hope it will be a beacon of light there.

are these the people who used to travel down to Coeur D'Alene, Idaho for liturgy at Fr.Gregory's church?
either way, I'm so happy for them! saves a very long drive!
